The location of this hotel is SUPER! Close to the Roma terminal station. And you can go to famous attractions by bus or subway or train. Or just by walking.
Best part of the hotel was the rooftop restaurant. We ate up there outside twice at sunset and enjoyed the food and the views as the sun set over Rome. Not crowded up there. Peaceful. Great!
The moment you enter the lobby you step into a time warp. If you’ve ever wondered what hotels were like in the 1950s, stay at Albergo Atlantico to find out. Imagine front desk clerks in black suits, bellboys in uniforms that wouldn’t look out of place in Donald Duck comics and maids in their black uniforms, complete with sparkling white collars and aprons. It truly is a different world, in a good way.
I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights on my visit to Rome. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from Rome Termini, the main train and bus station, which is convenient to get you to the Vatican museum, the airport and onto other cities. It is also about a 20 minute walk from the Colosseum and other attractions such as the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. Overall a reasonably priced, decent hotel in a convenient area.
